Highest Accreditation Award

The Eastern Heart Clinic participates in an accreditation program administered by the Australian Council on Health Care Standards. Since participation in this program in 1995, the Clinic has always received the highest accreditation award.

The standard of the Eastern Heart Clinic credentialing of Cardiologists is unique in Australia. The Clinic's credentialing guidelines are set substantially above the standards of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. This means the calibre and experience of our cardiologists are second to none.

Eastern Heart Clinic is registered as a private hospital by the NSW Health Department. Eastern Heart Clinic leases the premises from the South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra Area Health Service and provides all public interventional cardiology services on The Prince of Wales Hospital campus. The Clinic has ‘no gap’ agreements with all of the major health funds to care for private patients.
